chicka chickaaaa (new start: bun in the oven - recipe blog)

from now on, i am doing both my normal blogs, and food blogs.

BUN IN THE OVEN.

todays recipe: rainbow cupcakes


ingredients:
125g warmed up butter
2 tsp of vanilla essence
3 eggs
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
60 ml (1/4 cup) milk

makes 24.

1. place patty cans in 24 cupcake holders
2. preheat oven to 180 degrees C (160 fan forced)
3. place all ingredients in a bowl and mix, using a beaters or a mixer
on low until all ingredients have combined, and then medium for 3 minutes or
until the batter becomes paler.
4. (this is the fun part!) separate the mixture in the three/four bowls and add
food colouring to each bowl, so they become bright and vibrant
*(i used yellow, purple, red and blue)
5. place small amounts of each colour into each cupcake case, taking cake
not to mix the colours together
6. place in the oven for 15-20 minutes
7. take out of the oven and leave in pan for 10 minutes, the turn onto drying rack.

i'm blindsited

helllooo new york, new yorkkk.
i am sorry i haven't blogged in a while, but i have been so busy!
i had my formal last saturday (i am in the middle) and it was amazing:)
chemistry and a psychology SACs last week, methods and GMF this week.
you can see, i have no social life. well, a social life with my desk and homework could count.

anddd i had to put in my subject choices for next year (year 12)
ahdffgdsbfhbvskh im scared. i put chemistry, bilology, methods, GMF and english.
i can not believe i am going to be in year 12 next year. i wish i could stay in school forever.

we had to have meetings with our careers councellors last week.
i recieved many a booklets for universities, and i still have NO CLUE what i want to do.
i got lots of bookies about pharmacology and other science degrees but.. they dont look that interesting... and... ARGH i dont know.

on a more positive note, i am cooking again:) i looooove cooking, and i havent made anything in ages, so my in my future blogs, i am going to try and keep everyone updated with what i am baking:)

you are sitting on the clearest, sunniest beach

the scorching sun is tanning your body to perfection

you are listening to relaxing music, or reading a great novel

there are the quiet sounds of children playing in the background

the feel of the sand in between your toes

the smell of sunscreen that resides on your uncovered skin

sounds nice, doesn't it?

this is not my holiday experiences, unfortunately.
my holiday consists of my part-time job, cleaning my bedroom,
and crying over the fact that i still have holiday homework.

my mother has taken the whole two weeks of my holiday off from work.
shweeeet, was my first reaction. but no. this was not a 'shweeeet' moment.

during holidays, i like to sleep in, watch movies and take things at my own pace.
this does not happen with my mother at home.
she tells me what to do, when to do it, and what i should do after this.
it sucks, on an extreme level.

i hate it so much. especially when i wake up to
"lou, can you go and do the washing,
and then the dishes, and then we
are going to go through your whole wardrobe,
and throw out all the things you don't wear".
dsfgashjdfgasdjhfg. grr.

even though all of this annoys me, i still love my mother dearly.

hmm, tonight i think i might take a pair of old jeans and fix them up.
any suggestions of what i should do?
i am thinking i should bleach some parts of them, and cut some
holes in them.

wow, this week has gone in a flash.
first, i was doing exams
then i was having celebrations about exams ending
then i was contemplating what was on for the rest of the week
then i worked, and went out
and now here i am, blogging.

today i went to a pretty town called Sassafras
this is the view from the 'lookout'
it is lovely.

i went to a beautiful antique store today
i saw this painting and fell in love with it
i love the mermaids shape and how she 'fits' the angel.

wellll this is it for this blog, i am very tired
from all my adventures today.

the lightest night and the darkest morn

i know it is a tad late, but i have made some resolutions for the next few weeks.

1) i will not spend any unessesary money until the end of my school break.

2) at the end of my school break, i will buy something i have always wanted and then save the rest.

3) i will start making notes at the start of each term for my exams

4) i will see my best friend a whole lot more

lets see how that one goes :)

anyway, over the holidays i am going to redecorate my room.
i have always said i wanted a feature wall, coloured blue, and i have never got around to it.
this holidays it will change. i am making this feature wall, even if it kills me.

any other news in my life? yes.
i have exams coming up in three days :|
i really am on the verge of tears.
i have written up a study plan for my whole week but god knows,
i am never going to stick to it.

Hello :)

This is my first blog !

I don't want to sound like the average blogger, so each blog I hope to give you something to think about.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself, shall we..

- vampire weekend

I am kind of in love with this band.
Their music is so happy and lovely that I can continually listen to them.
If you have not listened to Vampire Weekend before, I would recommend it.
They are quite amazing.

- not known

I have a part-time job, and I love it.
At the end of the holidays, I hope to have a lot of money tucked away for that rainy day.
I am planning on spending some of that money on something I really want.
At the moment, I really want a polaroid camera.
Hopefully, If I buy it, I will be able to take photos like this one above.

Mmm, twiggy. She is definitely an inspiration.
All of her photos show her natural beauty,
and this makes me love her even more :)

I know I love a lot of things, but Postsecret is just a given.
